Now to take my sketch and flesh it out in my 3D CAD software so I could get my 3D printer going.
I would have to build the main body in 3 pieces because the build plate on my CR-10 3D Printer is limited to 12" x 12" and the R2 unit will be 9.5" x 17".
First things first: there will be a lot of screws to hold this together and I don't want to do a lot of drilling so I need to make sure of the size I need for the screws to fit properly. So I did a test print and everything was fine so I continued with with the design and started the prints.
Main Body: Print time 24.7 hours.
Display mount: Print time 3.4 hours.
Circuit Boards mount: Print time 5.2 hours.
Test Fit.
Some screws and wired for testing.
