Back
Brandi came down for Thanksgiving and we needed to get things in a working state because she had planned for an opening of the "Rise of Skywalker" event at her shop. She would need a fully operational Droid by December 15th.

She worked on the Artwork for the machines while I worked on a temporary back with the hangers. We couldn't do a complete back because of time constraints.

The Rise of R2G2
Since she would need to bring the R2 Unit back so I could finish it up after the event. I didn't want her to have to bring the machines back too. So I needed to finish the wiring. The front of the machine is basically a door that is hinged on the bottom. You lift the capsule tank and pull the front down to access the tokens so I needed a way to keep the wires from being snagged, cut, or pinched and kept out of the way when closing the front again. I found some long screen door springs and used them as flexible conduits. Worked better than I hoped. I used some audio jacks for connectors on the bottom of the machines.
The Star Wars event was a huge success and the R2G2 worked great.
Brandi brought the R2 Unit back when she came home for Christmas so I could finish it.
